Introducing the Fashion Designer Kit for Beginners

What is the Fabric n Stitch Fashion Designer Kit All About?

Learning to understand and use basic patterns for beginners is what this kit is all about. Keeping it simple to start with so children create outfits quickly to help to hold their attention and encourage them to learn more.
When they are ready, take it a step further to learn to hand sew using the cheat sheets included in the kits moving on to sewing and decorating their designs with the enclosed embellishments or other items they may have at home.
Teaching them to think outside the square a little to be able to change a pattern to their own design and also learning to draft a basic pattern to make a pair of pants for the mannequin.

With our kits, we try to encourage recycling, minimize plastic as much as we can, we dont include hundreds of stickers just to increase the contents list to get a sale but we encourage children to be creative and learn to sew from the basics.

Introducing our new kit, The Fashion Designer Kit Advanced

From Beginners to Advanced Sewers, theres something for everyone in this new kit.

Get started quickly! Be a Fashion Designer for the enclosed doll. You choose either a white or black doll.

Beginners can learn to drape fabrics & sew with tips to help.
Intermediate sewers can learn to sew the more fitting patterns, learn to re-design the patterns and draft new ones and also be a fashion designer for themselves by designing and sewing their own wrap pants or shorts. (fabric not included for these).

Create unlimited outfits. The kit encourages recycling and reusing of fabrics to be able to create as many items as you want.

With 9 pages of patterns (some unisex) and a 30 page instruction booklet, you can create a wedding dress, skirts, tops, dresses, pants, shorts, jeans, jackets, t-shirts, tutu, mermaid, bikini and more. Then learn how to make your own patterns and designs.

Many adults and children these days are unable to sew on a button or repair an item of clothing.

Teaching a child to sew is an important skill to learn and watching them have the satisfaction of creating an item themselves - a skill a child can use throughout their life. If they only use it to sew on a button or repair an item of clothing, it may help extend the life of their clothes and other items.

FABRIC n STITCH was created in May 2020 making boutique style craft kits for kids. We wanted to create kits that could encourage children to use their imagination and creativeness to help them develop their skills further whilst having fun.

Fabric n Stitch welcome your feedback and we are always looking at ways to improve the kit. We have recently included more patterns to allow for more designs.

Since the launch, we have been updating it by adding scissors and more items, sourcing new fabrics, minimizing plastic content and needless plastic packaging, improving the quality control to ensure your kit arrives in good condition.
