!!! Attention:

  3. The pump(the filter pipe of the transparent cover) must be filled with water before it can be turn on and run.Otherwise,it will cause dry grinding of the mechanical seal and case heat generation to damage the impeller and bearing,and finally cause the water pump to leaking and high noise.

Working Principle:

  1. Incoming water from the piping system is automatically directed by the Mulitiport Valve tothe top of the filter bed, as the water is pumped through the filter sand, dirt and debris are trapped by the filter bed, and filtered out. The filtered water is returned from the bottom of the filter tank, through the Multiport Valve and back through the piping system.(It is a sand filter pump for above ground pool.)

Filter control vavle functions

  • Filter-Set valve the FILTER from nomal filtering.Also use for regalar vacuuming.
  • Backwash-For cleaning filter. When filter rpressere gauge rises 8-10 PSI (0.55-0.69 BAR) above start-up(clean pressure):

  1. Stop the pump, set valve to BACKWASH, start pump and backwash until water in sight glass is clear.
  2. Approximately 2 minutes or less depending on dirt accumalation. Proceed or RINSE.

  • Rinse-After backwashing. With pump off,set vavle to RINSE. Start pump and operate for about 1/2 to 1 minute. This ensures that all dirty water from backwashing is rinsed out of the filter to waste, preventiong possible return to the [ump. Stop pump.set valve to FILTER and start pump for nomal filtering.
  • Waste-To by pass filter for draining or lowering water level an dfor vacuuming heavy debris directly to waste.

INSTALLATION NOTES:

  1. Make sure the sand filter pump is worked under the work pressure, and using a pressure control vavle when the system using a booster pump.
  2. If the pump position is higher than the water level, it requires to install the back water control vavle.
  3. If the pump position is lower than the water level, it requires installing an isolation valve, it could stop the water retuen back when people do the general inspection.
  4. Reducing the connect adaptors and hose connecting bending as less as possible. Decreasing the water flow scrub, it could reach the maximum effective.

FILTER

  • Adjust the multi-question valve to (FTER), open the main water inlet butterfly valve, the front and rear valves of the circulating water pump and the outlet valves, start the circulating pump, and filter. When the filtration is in progress, the pressure gauge reading is higher than 20kg/Cm or above, you need to immediately enter the filter sand tank.

BACKWASH

  • Backwash (discharge the dirt accumulated in the filter sand tank)
  • Adjust the direction valve to (BACKWASH), open the main water inlet butterfly valve, the front and back valves of the circulating pump and the outlet doors, start the circulating pump, and perform backwashing. Check and observe the clear water mirror on the sand tank until the water is clean, then turn off the water pump,

!!! Note: If it is impossible to check the backwash water, the duration of each backwash should be 2~3 minutes.

CIRCULATION

  • Turn the valve to (RECIRCULATE) to open the main water inlet butterfly valve, the front and rear valves of the circulating water pump and the outlet valves, and start the circulating water pump. The water does not circulate through the filter.
