Journal cover is made of high quality full grain leather, also known as Crazy Horse leather.

Crazy horse leather - is a cowhide leather with waxed surface. Due to the currying and processing peculiarities of this leather, it has following characteristics :

it looks aged ? eternal antique and vintage look that is displayed almost immediately after use
the full-grain leather is lustreless, it has smooth matted surface
this type of leather is very soft and had great tactility
durability and antique appearance of the items made of full-gain leather.
water-resistance ? wax used during processing creates a protective barrier and it allows Crazy Horse leather to withstand most of liquids
through the wear and tear, the crazy horse will become a scratched and rubbed, showing a change of color tone that truly reflects the vintage and rustic look.

The laser machine is used to do the inscription.This technique is called engraving and results in the letters inscription burned out on the leather with the laser. For leather engraving the laser beam melts the leather, producing high quality contrasting markings that last indefinitely.
